In this post I would like to tell you about different things you can do with sea shells.
First I would like to tell you all what are sea shells. A seashell or sea shell, also known simply as a shell, is a hard, protective outer layer created by an animal that lives in the sea. The shell is part of the body of the animal. Empty seashells are often found washed up on beaches by beachcombers. The shells are empty because the animal has died and the soft parts have been eaten by another animal or have rotted out.
Shells are available in three sizes: small, medium and large. You can use any size you wish to.
Now I would like to give some examples of how you can use these shells to decorate your house and show your creativity.
1) Celebrating a festival without a nicely decorated pooja thali cannot be imagined. But what if you don't find one in the market. In that case I would like to suggest you to decorate your own pooja thali at home by using shells. You can cover the thali by decorative cloth or anything you like and then you can stick the shells in such a way that they acts as bowl and then you can use them to fill the material you like.
2) The another thing you can make with shells is that you can make a couple using only two big shells and two small shells. You can use the big shells as their body and the small shells as their heads for their legs you can use a toothpick stick and cover it with paper-mâché and then color it give the best look as you can.
3) Else another option is that you can use your shells to make the border of a mirror or a photo frame. You can show as much creativity you want to show in this. You can mix the big, medium and small size of shells and randomly place any shell on the border, or you can also arrange in increasing or decreasing order.
4) You can also make some animals like tortoise with it. You can draw the shape of the tortoise on a piece of cardboard and cover the back of the tortoise with a shell. You can also try this with a butterfly you can draw the butterfly on a paper and then place the shells on its wings.
5) The last but not the least. You can make different types of birds ( small, medium, big) with it. After that take a plastic box stick a green sheet on the base of the plastic box to give it a look of the garden. After sticking the sheet stick the birds made of shells in such a way that it looks as if they are eating something on the grass.
At last I would like to tell you how to make the bird with the shell. For this follow the following steps-
1) Take two shells of any size and stick them together such that concave side is inside.
2) Stick a big shell to these two shells to make the tail of the bird.
3) Place a small shell to make the head of the bird.
4) Make a thin small role of a orange or red colored paper and place it in the hole to make the beak of the bird.
5) At last finish the bird by coloring and editing it.
